Hope I'm posting this at the right section.. Let's go!

Firstly, I bought a new cheaper USBASP programmer, and made nice little PCBs to burn each microcontroller. This is the ATTINY2313 circuit.

    It fits =)

This is an ATMEGA8 and an NRF24L1+ for the receiver.

This is the receiver box i've built with acrylic sheet + CNC laser machine.

Take a look how small the charger circuit is. A MicroSD for size comparison.

This is the receiver before close. It was a really tight fit.

Lastly, the controller itself before close. On the first part, you can see the MiniUSB port for charging the battery, charging circuit, and the wirelles module.
On the second part you can see batteries, 3,3v regulator (under the left black tape), joysticks, ATTINY2313 to mimic the N64 signals to the wirelles module, and I used an ATMEGA8 again (under this black tape on the middle) to make the conversion POT JOYSTICK > PHOTO DIODE JOYSTICK

And the finished product. Personally, I loved it! :D

Wow that's stinking amazing. Always thought it would be cool to have wireless controllers for everything old school.

So when do you take orders?

    Builts?

I could handle the hardware side of things but the coding is well beyond me.

Cool project overall but without the proper N64 layout and every button available, as well as color coded, my anal retentive nature would never be fully satisfied. :confused-new:

Very nicely done! I suggest you do make orders, a lot of people would want one of these.

Wow, this is one of the most ambitious projects I've seen in quite a while! Great work!

    Could've fooled me.

Would you be so kind as to release a binary that can be programmed to a ATTINY2313? Wouldn't mind trying to build one myself despite being anal retentive. Might be able to slap the hardware into an actual N64 controller.

@APE: Just take a look on the end of my first post. I've shared a link to GameSX.com

You'll find everything to build your own wirelles controller, such as schematics and codes for the MCUs. =)

EDIT: I can't, and anyone can't make orders, since the creator is so clear about making money under his project. So why not having fun building your own? ;D

Not all of us have the time, resources or the necessary skill to carry out this mod properly. He shared it freely on the internet, as long as you charge only for the parts and for the time you spend performing the mod personally, I don't really see a problem with a few members paying you to do it for them. Besides, as far as I can see the miniturization of the board and the fitting it in the classic controller were all your work.

Played for hours in the last days and I don't even need to recharge. It have a very good battery life! =)

About orders, I don't know if there's a possibility. I don't have much free time, my controller took months to be completed.
Aswell, I live in Brazil. It means it'll be much more expensive than you are imagining.

If you can pay lots by a controller, and wait forever, then I can think about it =)

I'd put them together if someone wants to compensate me for my time+parts. I can't make pretty receiver casings (no 3D printer) or labels but the electronics are a snap.

    You sir, are amazing.
Is it possible to convert an original N64 controller to a wireless one?
Are you planning to sell those?
