PSVita prototype thread (Dont expect much)

    Well, as the title suggests this is for prototype PSVita game builds.

    There's not much we can do with the data yet but it's worth putting it out there to hopefully make something from it in the future. I know there's some smart people here that would be able to do something.

    As far as I'm aware this is the first Vita prototype game that's been dumped. It's very close to retail but I know it's not final. Not a great game either but it's a start.

    From my understanding no. Best we have is vague wiki stuff. We can do a little bit, but how much is really restricted.

    You'd have to repack it or id have to share the backup i made.
    Or try some exploits and see how far you get

    a friend of mine looked at the fselfs. the sections aren't encrypted, only compressed.
    edit: use offzip to decompress, or just craft a custom unself

    In the full version of "Vita Sdk 0945" that was dated as ~2010 there is several games, which are benchmarks or similar. Also it's got a weird version of Uncharted (maybe empty placeholder/dummy). Most of the games in the unpacked format or as source code, so i don't have any idea how to run them on any hardware or compile. Plus i'm not sure can i post sdk files here or not. For now just screenshots from the benchmarks and early interface.

    The absolute minimum this one required was 3.300.000 so it's a bit past those early samples from the sdk.

    I have some debug game packages sitting around on my nas, don't have the hardware nor software for utilizing them though

    Wish I could have a way to dump it but I have an old dev 4GB memory stick that's got some demo version of vita game while it was still in development on it (Sadly a version of vita firmware locked out retail units from reading dev memorycards).

    Those are't games/benchmarks. They are just SDK samples to show ow to build different things. It's a common thing in most platform sdks.

    It's a standard vita memory card no? I can dump it or give you a guide to do so.

    Not sure if you would be open to it. Feel free to PM me about the details. I can use a test Vita to access it

    This method is A LOT more complicated than the method I use.
    HOWEVER that method if modded can dump physical games.

    The other side of this is the method described does not work due to the Near app not working on test/dev kit Vitas. There's a workaround for this so at least that's possible.
