Hello! You may know me for my project over on the downloads called Prototopia. Recently I have purchased a PlayStation portable development unit. Inside the regular size DVD tray I found a very early alpha of what became rock band unplugged. It is in Alpha stage, and very very loosely put together. Unfortunately whenever I put this DVD into my PC it's not recognized. So I'm curious if there some type of format that these type of units used that I'm unaware of. If someone could give me some type of info on this that would be great! I would like to release this sometime this week.
It should be recognized by your PC. I dont know why its not. I think anyway, maybe not. Try using DVDisaster, it dumps a lot of the more picky things. PM me if needed, I can tell you how to get the dump working after that, or do it for you, it takes a few seconds.
Does the development unit recognise the DVD? I don't know how a development unit works, but if it mounts the DVD drive contents as a UMD for the PSP (or visibile in any other form FROM the PSP unit), maybe you can dump the contents from there? Either in ISO or file format.
What about the tools used to dump non-dev UMDs on non-dev PSPs? They might get confused about the bigger size of the disc, or not even run on a dev device, but it's worth a try.
The thing is a PC drive should have no issue dumping the disk. Ive helped others do it plenty of times, and Ive done it myself quite a few as of late. DVDisaster works. Just set path, hit read.
Yeah. I'll try with my new pc when it comes. I will release it 100% ASAP. Sorry for the delay guys =(
