[PS2] POPS stuff...

toolbox is a command line application, you do not launch it by double clicking the executable.
You need to launch the application from a command line.

If you are using Windows and you are not very familiar with the command line, I would suggest that you do this:

Go to the folder containing the toolbox.exe, then hold shift and click the right mouse button, then select "Open command window here". This will save you having to enter the application path into the command line.
When the command window opens, just type toolbox.exe followed by the command, then hit enter.

 

Ola meus queridos, minha tv fica desalinhada com o popstarter deixando a imagem deslocada para direita da tela, utilizo este modelo de Tv Samsung 32 Ln32c530f1m , conversei com o amigo AlGollan84 sobre este assunto, e agora pensando tive uma ideia não sei se é possível para alinhar o X e Y manualmente.

Assim como tem o CHEATS.TXT, ter um cheat que conforme muda-se o numero a tela fosse se alinhando:

Exemplo
$X=-76
$Y=4

Il te faut éviter d'utiliser le OPL "DB" et prendre les explications qu'à donné kHn dans les fichiers d'aides pour créer toi même un "Cheat" qui permettent de programmer correctement ce type de vidéo. Tu ne peux faire cela qu'avec un lacement par uLE ou uLE_kHn, c'est tout.

Mesmo usando pelo Ule ele desalinha a imagem e preciso aplicar o GSM 0.23x para alinhar a imagem mas ela perda boa parte da qualidade quando faço isto, tentei o patch para jogos PAL mas não resolvel, eu uso o cheat que o amigo kHn criou para usar o controle analógico, mas não entendo muito da criação de um cheat, mas se tive-se um tutorial para criação de cheats para o popstarter seria interessante tentar criar um cheat para alinhamento de X e Y assim não precisaria recorrer ao GSM 0.23x toda vez que for jogar no popstarter.

Hello guys, I'm so glad with this awesome emulator most of the time I play using a CRT TV so it was supposed to display the graphics good since the games are oldschool, but I have a psone and the display/textures on a 20 inch CRT is fine but using POPS with my PS2 hooked up in a 29" CRT TV the display and game textures is too sharp/crispy I dunno if this is normal, anyone know how to use filters to smooth the textures? There are filters for pops? I wonder if there are I will be grateful, cheerz!

Olá pessoal eu uso o POPS através do Ulaunchelf e quando eu quero resetar ou mudar de jogo sem ter que fazer isso pelo console, eu aperto L1+R1+START+SELECT e aparece aquela tela azul com caracteres em japonês, eu confirmo numa dessas opções mas não acontece nada e volta para o jogo, como faço para poder resetar e voltar pro ulaunch.elf?

Hello guys I use POPS through uLaunchELF and when I want to reset or change the game without having to do this from the console, I press L1 + R1 + START + SELECT and appears that blue screen with Japanese characters, I confirm one of these options but nothing happens, how can I do a reset and get back to ulaunch.elf?

you need choose the left option, not the right one, and remember to use the circle button for accept/confirm
and not the X button, as in Japan the accept/confirm button is the circle.

@Lucas1992 : look at first post (IGR Textures part) if you want to get rid of the blue screen with Japanese characters and have something readable for you.

 

I already downloaded thanks, but why when I press YES it returns to the memory card screen (I use Ulaunch.elf) not Freemcboot , is there a command to return to Ulauncher file browser?

Blackscreen on Chapter 2 inside Salerno Academy when I entered the next area.

Mode = Tried all forced modes but it doens't fix the problems
The game freezes during this battle.

 

When I try run a POPS game from usb it goes black for a few seconds and then returns to the ps2 browser.
I've just installed the latest FMCB 1.95, and that's when this started. POPS worked fine before the FMCB update.
Anyone knows what to do?

 

Try to put "USBHDFSD.IRX" from FMCB 1.94 to "SYS-CONF" on your MC.

 

Report : Crash Bandicoot (PAL, NTSC not tried) broken between beta 11 & 12 (works with 11, doenst work with 12). Tested with both USB & HDD.
Symptoms : you can run the game the very first time (and it works fine). The second time you run it, it hangs just after the PS1 logo. Deleting the VMC folder make you able to launch the game again.

Hi guys, i new here.

I have a question: It's me or the Akumajou Dracula X - Gekka no Yasoukyoku (nipponic version of Castlevania SOTN) randomly freezes on POPStarter WIP_06?

I tried all possible modes, and still freezes randomly.

 

What happens on my LG HDTV is that the screen is horizontally stretched(this is with the NTSC forced display). The resolution switching only not happen on intros but on some parts of the game as well, like when you're on a world map or in battle mode, depends what the game is. I've tried forcing it to display on PAL with GSM 0.38 plus I added the compatibility mode PATCH_8 on the VMC folder to remove the stuttering, there will be black bars on top and bottom though(I think the game got cut-off, or is it just stretched by a little?). 480p will also fix this but few games supported this mode, Xenogears is one of them. Now I'm just using the standard A/V cable.

 

I hope my (temporary) solution work.
