Famiclone or maybe a clone Megadrive. I had a VCD unit back in the day with a famiclone in it.

What makes you think it's a Nuon? A lot of old CRTs had primitive built-in games, so I wouldn't put it past manufacturers to do the same thing with some VCRs/DVD players.

because most of the time the games weren't advertized on the box,you had to either dick around in the settings or know a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy to tell you the right combination to enter with the remote

I don't think the Nuon had built-in games in the first place. It's probably a famiclone, as Alchy said.

Nope, they were not built in, they were on discs. The Nuon consoles also have a logo on them saying they accept said discs. I have no idea what kind of games they would put on a DVD player though..

Exactly, that's why it makes zero sense to assume it's a Nuon. They were all marked players.

DVD famiclone, and here's a DVD Megadrive clone. These things are not rare or particularly interesting - just the same old shitty clone hardware but with no cartridge port (and in the case of the famiclones, only support for the earliest, most basic mapper 0 games, since there's no mapper hardware built into the devices). They come with a disc full of ROMs.

    Sounds like you're up, then.

Some TVs had games like Snake etc, if they did they must've been a Nuon then.

I doubt that my CRT with a built-in VHS player was a Nuon.

Looks very much like another generic DVD player with ''game function''.

The really old dvd player with games had hardware clones , now it's just emulation.
