What's the best way to build a PC these days?
Positive pressure inside the case would stop dust getting jammed in my floppy drive... Negative pressure would... I don't know, make dust clump everywhere? LOL!

    Thoughts?

    "ENCHILADA" is the only choice.

I have 2 fans on my pc. One on top that pulls cold air in and one on the back that pushes warm air out. I cant see a good reason to make it only one or the other.

You are still going to end up with some sort of pressure difference, don't forget the power supply has a fan too :)

Wow enchilada is really pulling ahead! Guess I'll just have to install enchiladas in place of fans!

Push / Pull should have been an answer (and the only one really)

Dust filter over my floppy drive? Madness!

Oh don't give me that new age stuff, push-pull - you know positive pressure is the way to go. Maybe with dust filters! :)

Nooooo over your intakes, barely any dust will get in that way.

Then I'd have to use positive pressure :) Otherwise with negative pressure the dust will come in the gaps and eat up my floppy drive

Well, not unless you have filters it somewhat wouldn't matter which direction. Of course it's more maintenance

I like the idea of filters, I'm pretty sure the case has some... it was that Corsair one - what was the model... I know it was in the chatbox somewhere... LOL :)

Negative seems to be best for what I do. I have 2x 140MM fans on top pulling out, an exhaust fan being an exhaust fan, and 2 fans in the front pushing in protected by a dust filter. My temps are great and my PC never really gets too dusty.

Damn, no - Corsair something or other - it's got a red fan! :(

Maybe I just shouldn't have fans? Just fill it up with oil in a bucket? I guess it would get a little greasy, but would be relatively dustproof :p

Thanks for all the feedback guys, you keep on rockin' ;)

Ture. But when it comes to external fans. I actually have 3. I forgot about the on behind my front face plate that pulls air in.
