It looks like the default.xex would have installed the game to a HDD from the disk.

Does this have a debug menu of sorts?

Ah damn, fair enough. Thanks for the upload!

EDIT: Have you tried modifying the scimitar.ini? Might have something.

Yeah I don't know much of Ubisoft's engine, but if someone has the Assassin's Creed 1 debug, you could try to bring over whatever enables the debug functions.

I was trying to get the debug menu working in the one before this. People say its in the dlc. They have had it pop up in the pause menu. I tryed everything to get it, with no luck. :(

With the Assasin's Creed beta @jakeeeenator found out the debug menu is enabled by simply pressing the start button from the main menu, perhaps this also works with this one?

After gathering some free time, I was playing with this.
The first 'default.xex' is a simple installer that copies the game folder into the XDK HDD, but it only boots from the DVD drive (if you try to execute it from the HDD, it pop ups a error message about not finding the files folder).
This system is used in some Ubisoft preview/review discs (not sure if other companies use this system).

    Thanks for sharing this. :)
