Pokemon GoGoGo (Pikachu's Nightmare) - GameBoy Color Pirate Cart

Hey guys, I dumped the rom off of this GameBoy Color pirate cart that I've had since I was a kid. It has some good games on it (Super Mario Land, TMNT3, Kyorchin, etc) along with this weird Smurfs game romhack where you play as Pikachu instead.

Nope, this is all I have to share. Even if I did have any other weird GameBoy stuff, I sold my cart dumper a while ago.

 

I didn't realize people here cared about pirate multicarts - I just had a quick look and I found these. If anyone is interested, I will dig out my old GB Exchanger and dump them. I think there might be some others around, too.

Sure buddy! I love the multicarts. Don't ask me why I love em. Would be pretty nice of you if you dump them. How many do you have?

 

You wouldn't be interested in selling the Pokemon one would you?

 

OK, maybe someone that has some experience of dumping these things can give me some suggestions - I finally dug out an old PC with a parallel port, and the Bung software can only read the menu. I guess it can't handle whatever custom mapper these things are using. Anyone got any suggestions?

 

Try to track down a USB one. Someone out there is custom making them, I got one for $30 a few years ago off eBay, but I sold it to a mod on Nintendo Age I think. It worked pretty well, but you basically had to guess the size of the game cartridge over and over again when you were choosing the dump settings. Too big and the rom won't boot, too small and the rom won't boot.

 

Great share, DeChief! Im not able to get anything but that dog of a 'Pokemon' game to start however, testing it in Gambatte. Should I be trying a different emulator? Cheers!

 

I'm not sure, I think it worked fine for me on whatever emulator I was using when I dumped it last year. Might've been VisualBoyAdvance...

 

Tested in several emulators: Gambatte, BGB, KiGB, TGB, VBA, higan, GearBoy and Gest can only load the first Pikachu game.

 

Well that's the only interesting thing on it anyway.
