Just a friendly place to guess and speculate on what the next Everdrive will be after N64.

I doubt it will be PCE/TG-16. Derekb probably has best guess.

This is not to say the TG16 ED won't eve happen, but I think after doing a more challenging ED like the ED64 he may want to do an easier ED like a GB/GBC one.

I don't think a NES ED will happen for a long while considering how many various mappers would need to be handled and what not

I was leaning towards TG16 Just because it seemed like there is lot's of demand for it. But I did also think that the Gameboy one might be a nice break.

Yeah, personally if I were him I would leave NES ED for last or close to last just because of the work it will take. Best to have as many EverDrives out before that so have nice steady income coming in before taking on that beast.

yeah, plus powerpak is already pretty far on the NES front. on top of NES mappers theres also the couple custom chips to worry bout as well. Gameboy is definitely what I am hoping for, would love to have a gb/gbc cart

Both GameBoy and PC-Engine should be fairly straight forward to do. Gameboy MBCs are few in number and not terribly different or complex in operation. The PC-Engine HuCards other than Street Fighter 2 CE' are pretty simple I believe as well. Both would be excellent EverDrive targets.

As much as I'd LOVE for a HuCard ED to be made (BTW, KRIKzz. My offer HERE still stands ;-).), I'm aiming towards a GB/GBC ED (Everdrive Boy? LOL). I think he mentioned plans for one in one of his past posts.

A Neo-Geo Everdrive, with compatibility with both AES and MVS systems.

    *Wakes up*

Oh... certainly a Game Boy/Color everdrive.

Instead of buying an ED you could also just buy that 1 and only game that is any good on this system...probably cheaper anyway

    Pretty much.

Gameboy is pretty easy so I wouldn't be surprised to see that next.

NES to me is just a 'why not buy a powerpak' question at this point, the powerpak guy puts alot of work into supporting all those different mappers, he's the KRIKzz of NES!

I do appreciate how much work KRIKzz is doing though, and Gameboy aside (please let it happen, theres no sd solution for gb/gbc), I do hope that as time goes on he produces carts for systems such as TG16/PCE, Jaguar, Etc Etc. He is doing a great service for us all
