Hi there, I've read this forum for awhile now and I thought I'd share a few pictures of my Biohazard Dreamcast. I'm personally not a Biohazard fan, I just have a thing for translucent dreamcasts . I picked this up a few months ago, unfortunately the previous owner didn't have the box or any paperwork. The VMU is also missing it's top . One thing that's weird about this console is it's missing the numbered sticker on the back. I dont see any sticker residue or evidence a sticker was ever there. I guess this isn't much of a collectors item anymore since it's missing so many pieces. I'm half tempted to throw a GDEMU in it when mine arrives. Enjoy the pictures.
My Complete in Box Claire version has no number either Arguably an un-numbered one is rarer as there were less than 1,800 made
I kinda wish the bottom were in the translucent red too, but still, it looks great. I think it looks better than the blue once since (if memory serves me), the blue ones has a giant STARS logo on the top.
King_of_PS, are you able to share pictures of your complete one? Did it come with the regular version of Code Veronica or the re-release? I'd love to see what an unnumbered one looks like complete. Thanks
It's sleeping somewhere safely at the moment. To answer your question usefully though, it looks exactly the same as this one for sale on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Biohazard...886?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f387e2586 BUT no number on the back, and no Rockfort Prison tag either. I believe you could buy the un-numbered one from Dreamcast Direct in Japan once the 1,800 ran out, but there was even more limited stock.
Huh, I never knew any of the Dreamcasts had a two-tone style, looks damn really good. You've got a great item there, dude, box or no.
Pardon the caps and language, but.. YOUVE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME I HAD A CHANCE TO BUY WHAT I'M 99% SURE WAS ONE OF THE BLUE VERSIONS BUT I PASSED UP ON IT FOR A HIGH END DAMN GFX CARD I AM SO PISSED That huge disappointment aside, good find for ya man. It'd be neat if there were more distinct markings / logos on it.
The Blue version has the STARS logo on it - as with any console, people can put after-market cases on them, so the logo and the original box would be essential. IF it was a real blue one, they sell for >£1,000 GBP whenever I've seen them Hope that's an amazing graphics card ;-)
Congratulations - you got a nice unit. Your unstickered red Biohazard Dreamcast is one out of fifty consoles sold via Segas D-Direct online store in Japan. There's no difference to a regular Biohazard DC than the missing sticker. There are also blue Biohazard STARS Dreamcast consoles without a LE sticker on the back. These were given away in a contest by the japanese Dorimaga magazine. Last time i saw a blue STARS DC sold on Yahoo Japan it sold for >2500 GBP - holy grail for collectors.
Man I would love to have either one of those. I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and CV is the dearest to the ole heart.
Man I wish I had a box for mine, if anyone ever comes across an empty Biohazard Dreamcast box, let me know! It probably goes to mine, haha!
Unfortunately the time has come for me to sell this dreamcast. I have listed it on ebay using the same pictures, so I hope no one thinks the pictures were stolen from here. There's currently another dreamcast item I'm after and the only way to afford it is to sell this one. I really do hate to get rid of it, I'm sure I'll never own another.
