Honestly this has got to be the scariest thing known on consoles. My worst fear is waking up in the pitch black and the tv comes on full volume and it does it :O! Or the PS logo floating walking in my hallway making that noise!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ92RVruaxs

I don't get it. It's just the annoying PSX boot screen. And the reason why it's annoying is because it can't be skipped like you can do one other consoles.

Its not the normal boot screen, That sound happens when a illegal operation occurs in the bios.

That is the best boot up sound in gaming history ! when I hear this sound It reminds me of the good old days like Tomb Raider, Fear Effect, Resident evil and more

I did not hear it for years, because I had my action replay plugged in at all times, then I soldered in a chip and took out the action replay, hearing that sound again indeed brought back memories :)

I'm even less likely to see this screen. Got both gameshark and framemeister.

I have a android tablet. I have this emulator called epsxe. All night I was having theories about personified fear so what I did is that I set the Bios As SCPH-101 and I chose a game to run but all of a sudden I chose the bios as a game and after the white Sony computer entertainment logo booted up then 43 secs later, there was personified fear. I believe on epsxe you have to have the Bios SCPH 101 And you must have the rom to run the bios but r u the bios as a game and it will happen

Never ever heard about this fearful harmony/personified fear business... I had an original JP launch model and as you probably might be thinking, yes it gave me a lot of trouble reading discs later on. But I never had anything like that happening to me before.

I don't want to call it bullshit so can someone please explain to me what the hell are these error stuff and how can someone recreate it consistently.

If your Ps1 has a modchip and you load a non-PS1 game, there would be a 50/50 chance for those errors to happen or a message saying "Please insert PlayStation CD-ROM" will pop up.

I still don't understand why Sony choose that music for that error. First, it won't boot the game, and as punishment you get awful screeching notes.
