PAL Sega Master System?

Can anyone tell me what I would need to be able to play an Australian Sega Master System cartridge?

I am assuming this would be PAL format? Do I need a European SMS?

Assuming your in the US (since yopu haven't mentioned it), then chances are the game will play fine on a US sms straight away. Theres about a dozen PAL released games that don't play properly or at all in NTSC. What game is it?

I didn't have any set cartridge in mind. I was just curious. I had read somewhere that the US model didn't have any region coding included, but wasn't sure if that was true or not.
