DOA works fine on 50hz though, even if it is dirt slow.

Urh dont remind me, im ok with the slowdown on 16bits, but now days some games feel like crap, mostly fighting games,

Wonder if runing NTSC games on a PAL machine will make them run at 60hz

If you read my previous posts, a 50/60hz mod is what you would need, so you could switch the refresh to match the Jp/Us game. With a PAL PlayStation modded, a NTSC game would boot on a PAL machine in 60hz and in colour with a scart lead. Sega Saturn does not do that and NTSC games are forced into 50Hz on a PAL console.

lift pin 79 on the VDP2 and attach it to either +5v for 60hz or GND for 50hz

As simple as that? What about making it a switch?

Get a simple on/on switch, connect the lifted pin to the middle of it, the +5v to one side, the GND to the other side of the switch.

Depending on your Saturn, there might be simpler ways to do it though. On VA0 PAL and VA SD PAL units, you have a connector next to the battery where you can install the switch directly, without needing to lift any pins. That one part uses pulldown resistors.

I would also throw money at you, but only if the GUI doesn't come off! Really nice work by the way.

I think it would require something on the firmware side, but it hasn't been done yet given the difficulty posed with how the Saturn is setup.

How long ago did you order? Mine left Poland last week but hasn't been scanned in my country yet. I am excited!

    Got a weird problem,
Some times it will say "Game disc unsuitable for this system" or cartridge unsuitable for this system (normal memory cart, none 4mb game)

    And another one
    It skips folder 01

"Game disc unsuitable..." -> the game is the wrong region. Region patch the image, or set Rhea to do region modification in the INI file.
"It skips folder 01" -> It probably cannot parse the cd image you put in there.

... I've never seen a "Cartridge unsuitable" error. Maybe it happens when a cart is of the wrong region, but that should not happen on a normal memory cart. Even 4mb games boot on their own, and then display a warning after booting, not in the bios.

It seemed to of removed the save cart, it has been a bit iffy
It picks up game 01 on the cycle, but skips it as the first game

It was a region patch thingy, all work now

That's caused by the 4mb cart, you need to use 1mb carts instead. This is a known fault in three SNK games, unrelated to Rhea.

No, the Action Replay does not have both 1mb and 4mb, it only has the 4mb expansions.
