    Hello guys!
So my big crt tv doesn't like my md2 clone and gives a really weird picture.
It's flickering and altering every second between psychidelic colours and b/w.
It has two scart ports, one of them always shows the md2 as b/w and the other shows it as described above.
Here's a gallery with a couple of examples.
The console has a region and tv mode switch, but, the tv doesn't care about that :D

Does anyone know the reason for this or a solution?

Have you tried a different TV or cable. To me that looks like a poor connection between the console and the TV. There's also a lot of noise on the image. The crazy colours are caused by each RGB signal not connecting well. This could be because the TV's RGB port is buggered or the cable is in poor condition. Or even the Mega Drive DIN port could have bad connections. One of my Mega Drives went like that.

Well the console works on two other tvs I got. Like I said the tv alters between b/w and weird colour every second, but only on the menus and splashscreens. Ingame it's always b/w. It showed those weird colours even when I hooked up my pc to it through a composite to scart adapter (like the md2) but the pc showed up ok on it 90% of the time and flickered with that weird color once an hour or so.

I thought this was a common issue on pal/eu tvs and there's a super simple solution that I'm missing.

Wait, you used a Composite to SCART adapter for the MD? That might be the problem. Try using an RGB SCART cable instead.

The clone console only outputs composite with mono.
The other tv is fine with composite/rca to scart adapter.

Ah, I see. It must be an issue with the TV then. Is the clone outputting NTSC, PAL, or SECAM?

Well that's the thing. It has a pal/ntsc switch. But in ntsc mode the screen is always b/w. It's in pal mode that it's acting like an lsd dream simulator lol.

    Edit:
Problem solved by buying an original pal mega drive :D
