I'll be RGB modding my Japanese N64 and have just ordered an NTSC RGB cable from Retro Gaming Cables (source). I chose for the cable to use composite sync as this thread on another forum suggested I'll get better video output this way. Just wanted to check that there's no issue with the AV pinout and composite sync being active on a NTSC N64 by default?

No issues unless you use that cable with a PAL console.

Edit: Just misread your post and I'm feeling stupid as I wrote the wrong response initially, hence the edit - thanks for confirming I'm on the right track, I have a separate cable coming in for my PAL Nintendo consoles so I should be fine by the sounds of it!
