Hi got this today unfortunately it has got a blown power board if any one has one the same to sell me i have cash waiting or if anyone has a UK power board i can put in that would be great. heres some pics.. this is the pic of the power board i really need if anyone has one they are willing to sell me. Let me know thanks also any idea which power lead and where i can get one from for the black box underneath the console?
Awesome! Actually, that power supply is switching so it can support 220V, but if you still want a PAL one, find a Saturn with a bad laser on your local Amazon or eBay and gut it from it.
Yes it was he didn't really say much on the ad what it was and i was debating if i should buy it or not but thought what the hell. Looks like i'm going to have to buy a donor saturn hst-3200 for the power board.
I've never seen that power board in a regular saturn (US ones, anyway). However, those large class 2 supplies aren't super hard to repair. I see your blown fuse so my guess is it's the bridge rectifier on the primary stage. I'd say it's worth fixing to keep everything stock. PM if you want, I could fix it for ya at a reasonable price (though I am in the USA).

I managed to get a donor for £9 with the exact same power board so fingers crossed it powers up. I'm afraid it's not for sale pal it's going in my collection. Any info of the system disk? When booted up it comes up with the sega logo and says completed in the corner?
When you get another board, don't put it on the carpet like that! There can be thousands of volts worth of static electricity in carpets. It was doubtful someone who seems to want to use the system will sell the essential disc. However, even if he had wanted to, you know he can't sell here yet. Only discuss such things in PM, please.
Yeah, that's what it does - but it also unlocks the CD controller so that you can boot CD-Rs on it. That specific disc allows you to boot 3rd party titles on CD-R (the Sega 1st party disc is red). You don't actually need it to use the cartdev - that downloads stuff directly into the Saturn RAM - but you do need it if you want to boot a recorded CD-R of your software. You would also need it if you ever managed to get hold of the CD emulator that plugs into that socket on the side of the console, since it doesn't emulate the copy protection. Basically, you have to put the switch into the "CD" position, boot the system disc, then switch over to "VCD" and start up the emulator - if you fail to do this, it won't boot.
