Also I did notice 1 thing about this console that makes me happy! It is NOT a 1.6 console. It has the extra leg for the screw that the 1.6's do not have.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Well it looks like someone outdid me. I was the one that found the official Orange XBOX lid on top of a standard black XBOX back in March of this year. I wonder if the orange is the same hue as the one I have because it has the same silver jewel? It seems this Halo version is a goldish orange. It would be nice to know the mystery behind these Orange XBOX's that have been popping up. And congratulations to the gentleman that found a real XBOX museum piece.

I wonder what motherboard it has in it? I bet it is a 1.4 since it was made most likely at the time that they made the green HALO consoles and they are 1.4's and rarely 1.6's.

That will go so nice with your orange live controller! If you get the orange console then it was meant to be together. That will be a mega score to get them so close together. I think it is cool that it has the HALO on the front panel also. Good thing they did not put the DOA on the top also. That would have been total overkill. I just hope it is the same color as the controller.

Id like to work something out with the person who has it, but I havent heard back from him yet, not that I expect to as Ive only been awake a few hours myself hah. Pursuing other lines of inquiry for the time being. You guys should know me though, it's less about having it in my collection and more about getting proper documentation of all thing Xbox :)

I've owned the XCM aftermarket cases, particularly the blue one, and have compared it to the blue Halo 2. They were pretty similar in quality, with the XCM being inferior. What was of note, however, was that the front of the DVD tray (the one that says "Xbox" on it) said "XCM" on the aftermarket cases they made. This one says Xbox. To me, that is a dead giveaway that, at the very least, the top is legit.

Now that would be awesome! Man if you can make the custom case I will buy them!

I have had all the XCM cases except the white one. The blue color is close but it is not perfect. When you have them side by side you can see the difference. I just so happen to have found a blue XCM case with the blue X3CP for sale. It is something I sold to the guy 4 years ago. Anyway I will have it back in a week and I can take pics of the 2 cases so you can see the difference in the color. The blue X3CP (X3 faceplate with LCD) is a perfect match to the microsoft blue case. In fact all the X3CPs are perfect matches in color and fit. They really spent time making it just right. I just wish they made a X3CP in red to match the red XCM case. That is such a cool case!

    Hey all

Emilio (Owner of the orange xbox) is my good friend. I mod his systems for him. This post was about trying to find out more information about this rare variant system, not about trying to solicit offers to have it sold.

I too collect xbox systems, and i'd be heartbroken if he sold this to anyone besides me, just throwing that out there.

It is all well and good if you want to try to connect with E directly. I was just trying to help spread the request for info.

Please, do not PM me with requests to bid on the system or to contact E with your bid requests. I'll really be sick to my stomach to see this sold so quickly with my ever having a chance to photograph my other xboxes with it.

Emailed you back. The only reason why Im not outright posting what he said was just so that we can hammer down the details as much as we can to limit bad info from getting out :)
