    Ok I found some related items and the first device looks like it is a baseball game / baseball card reader.

    Still no idea on the second one.

    Kind of wonder if it was some sort of simple game you could play with a friend over the phone line? It has the handset passthrough so your phone can still operate as a phone without disconnecting the device. Just conjecture.
