I took a walk up to the park near my home today for some more photography practice. I'm trying to do things manually since I believe that's how you become better at things rather than using automatic settings.

    Colour and focus test.

I used to love BMX bikes. I was quite a whiz on one back in the day.

Yep, still a bit of green down here but only on certain tree types. Most "normal" trees are base now.

I got a few other shots on my Flickr page. Thought showing just part of the bike was more interesting than the whole. These guys actually pulled off their tricks... something you don't always see.

    That's absolutely horrific.

Using a club taints the flavour.

I do like that last shot. Do these people know you are photographing them?

Sometimes... it's a busy city though, and like I complain about regularly, most people have their heads up their asses!

This thread seems to be dead; I'll resurrect it with a NECRO-BUMP

I've been trying to get into photography lately, and now that I have some actual good equipment, here's some of what I've done...

Stained glass window in St Vitus Cathedral, Prague. Alphonse Mucha was the designer for this piece.

I'm taking all my photos with a Nikon D3300. My gear so far consists of that camera, a 50mm 1.8 aperture Nikon lens; the standard 18-55mm Nikon lens, and a Tamron 70-300 for telephoto (cheap version, quite a bit of chromatic aberration on longer distances; but really cool for photographing wildlife on a clear day).

Very cool, haven't been in Dublin since, huh, last century!
Took that one earlier while walking for a bit on the outskirts of Paris, it's a gaming forum after all!
