Here are some ideas I have in my mind in this moment: A youtube funny videos contest? A 3 word story topic? (for some stupid reason it always gives good results) A funny flash animations thread?
Turn it into a french porn site! Or the museum....I think that'd be more fun, but probably not for you. We could play stuff on the interwebs, whether it be Live or not, that'd be fun.

I don't think that a static museum website will be fun, if there is no more musuem now it's most be cause that not fun for the one who maintain it Maybe something like a Wiki museum would be a better idea. This way all assembler member could work on making a nice database of cool obscure and rare stuff.
I think one sentence a day would be ok, if you put a lot of time between a post and another it will become slow as hell, but if you don't put any limits there'll always be people posting there to raise their posts number...
I think the idea about a 3 word story thread is just as stupid as "the last man who posts get an award". So no fucking way, they are probably the best spamming reason to get tons of nonsense posts.
But the museum sounds like a great idea . And maybe the tons of old drums of Danish porn too. Mixed with the wiki, and they I would love to be the mod in the porn section.
I also miss the museum. Damn, i loved that part. I can't forget the first time i read through the whole M2, PC-FX and Playdia areas. It was because of the museum, i kept coming back and then decided to join the message board. It's funny when i realized that more than 10 years passed. So, my suggestion is, museum back on.

it was about 8 years ago that I discovered the assembler museum way back when... forgot about it because i thought it was called "ASSEMBLY" and all I would find was programming stuff when i searched.
how about a create a fake/unreleased console contest? it might be fun and it might pop up in other forums too! let the idea rock! gamegear lite philips dvd-i or something really new. after that all the entry are on, we'll have a vote on the most interesting one and proceed in a community effort to create the fake
