Hello,
I have a question in general about the "IDE MOD".
Is it not possibel to hook up a PC DVD reader/burner instead the ATA HDD drive?
DVD´s a big enuff to take a GD-Rom in is original size.
Or is not possibel to boot from DVD drive?
I mean the Dreamcast cd rom drive stay inside(no replacement) and the DVD drive as external device like the "G1 ATA Mod"?
I think it is also a other opportunity how to play GD Rom files on a retail dreamcast.When it were possibel!

I wonder everybody have there focus on HD/dreamshell,USBEMU and GDEMU!

Don't use it, it has some issues.

I got a new one today from mnemo, it's the full firmware this time 3mb.
(Cannot share & after the last beta I installed I don't want to, as I don't want features broken & me getting the blame)

What I can say is it seems GDI loading is back to normal & he's added a new txt string under Region Free: on "Select Image for swap - <x> button"

Codebreaker cheat discs doesn't boot now , game shark cheat disc still works.

 

can gdemu be used somehow to transfer saves to/from vmu?

 

To, yes. Using a cdi with vmu explorer or dreamshell and the savefile you want to transfer.

From, no. There's no way to write to gdemu sd-card, so far.

If you have a serial sd-card as well as gdemu you can do it though (which is my case).

 

maybe swat can modify dreamshell to access gdemu sd card
