Sold: Phantom Universal Sega Saturn modchip When: July 2015 Feedback: Everything went smooth right up until he went to install it. It seems that he was being paid by someone to do an install and didn't know what he was doing. When I got the modchip back one of the retaining clips was broken and paper was stuffed into it to hold the ribbon in place. He claimed it broke because he had to reinsert the ribbon so many times due to testing it to get it to work. He then accused me of knowingly selling universal modchips that didn't work on all models (at my suggestion he was to post on the boards to get help, he never did nor did he seem to actually realize that some Saturns have issues with any modchip due to damage to the board or failing optics. Clearly I'm at fault for it). He accused me of being "an ass through this entire process" (I did make a comment towards the end of the transaction about the damage to the chip which was: No wonder you couldn't get this thing working. Uncalled for but I was not an ass through the entire transaction. I will happily post logs to prove it). When I told him I wasn't going to issue him a full refund he escalated it through PayPal for a claim for the entire amount and not the agreed upon cost of chip minus shipping. I offered him what we agreed upon (despite the chip being damaged and in an unsellable state that would require me to repair it) and he took it. I will not do business with him again.
