Oh the jitter is distortion at the bottom of the screen on non-CRT / non-optimised PAL games.
Here's some photos, they explain is far better than words! :smile-new:

First is 50Hz PAL on composite, bottom right has some mess there and some border.

Next up is 60Hz NTSC, no border around the edge and the scrambled distortion is offscreen and unseen.

Actually, how were you connecting it to the TV? RF or composite cable?
Please don't say RF! :wink-new: (It's so old!)

    O.K. - i don´t say RF - you said it already...

There was no other cable available @ the moment.
I will buy one now - or is there a mod for a better output aon PAL MDII, THIS MD2 and MD 1?

Hahaha! You are very wise! :smile-new:

The regular Mega Drive II can do lovely RGB which is amazing output, but composite should be a big enough step up from RF.
This Mega Drive II sure seems different and I couldn't say how one would go about modding it for that, someone else here might be able to help though!
If you'll only be using composite, I personally would stick with a breakout cable rather than mod the console itself.
    But that's just me! :topsy_turvy:

Ahhhh yes that would be a big problem, so I guess RGB is out of the question!
Don't get me wrong, sometimes I forget I am on composite when I am really into the game.
Look at my playing away at Phantasy Star IV here!

I had no idea where I was going too! :dejection:

This is real mega drive 2 but it was made from a third party developer by sega's licence! It usualy was pal version and was selling in asia , australia and europe. We had many of them in greece and the box was like this.

We had and 8 bit clones of mega drive 2 ( outside case was the same) but inside was like this

Sega did license out stuff like that though - look at tectoy.

Not saying the above is legit, but Sega do have prior history of such a thing.

Ugh. When people keep saying REAL Mega Drive like that, it sounds like some weird 3DO fusion :p

"Introducing the Mega 3DO Converter! This fancy device let's you play Sega Mega Drive/Genesis/Sega CD/Mega CD games on your 3DO game console! Finally, the REAL way to play those 16-Bit classics! Available Holiday 199X. Order now!"

That would be the advertising campaign for it. If I had a 3DO, I would buy it.
