if you don't work you can't expect the marriage to last the distance. :)
I've been married for last 11 years and couldn't be happier.
Sure we do have up and down and headache but those are more to do with our kids than between us.
Heck I still find her super hot~ in bed and out of bed! :p

I'm in the married club too. And while I've only been married for a couple years, my wife and I were together for five years before we tied the knot. I love being married, and I wouldn't trade it for single life at all!

I don't know to be honest, all I know is that you don't need to sign a legal document to express your love and dedication to each other. There's something very unsettling about signing away 50% of your hard earned possessions; being in the position where you can provide for your family should not result in the situation where your partner takes it to provide for them selves in a new relationship. I'd like to build things for my self and while I'd be generous enough to share it with other people, I still think I have entitlement to the things I've worked hard to achieve, regardless of whether I'm single, in a relationship, in a marriage, or divorced.

The idea of marriage is nice but the legalities of it are kind of messed up, if someone chooses to leave the relationship behind then the same should be said for the lifestyle. The only thing that changes things for is the children.

Well, I am ready to get a girlfriend, and then later on get married. And I met a lovely woman this year whom I fell for (big time). Hell you can say the old "classic" it was love at first sight. Even though, I actually think it was the third time, I met her. When I felt the connection with her. But sadly it did not happen between us. Cause she went back to her boyfriend. So that burns. But oh well, there is only one remedy for that, and that is another old "classic" . Which is , I just have to try again :)

well, just to clarify some things :

In Spain if you are married, you can sum both salaries and make a single tax payment, so if you make much more money than your wife, or your wife makes 0, its pretty good idea to be married.

Also, i dont know about other countries, but here if you make more than 50.000 euros per year, you have to pay 50% tax of the money that exceds 50.000 euros, think that earning 70.000 euros would make you pay 10.000 euros in tax from 50 to 70, plus 30% of 50.000 euros. If you gf has no job you will end paying just 20% of 35.000 euros tax total cause both salaries get sumed.

If you have a son you also have tax exceptions. Here is a pretty good idea to be married, and as i said if you have been living with someone for long time, whats the difference betwen be married and single ? just a piece of paper ...

Knowing that there exists people in Spain who earn 92000 US dollars per year blows my mind.

Nice of you to offer, mate, but I'm good! :p

I always imagined I would, sure, but I'm fine not being tied down at the moment! ;) I'd rather be in a better position to support a family first than rush into it for the wrong reasons, for sure.

I'm in the same boat ;-) Wouldn't trade or go back on it if given the chance! Got 3 bundles of joy! But I will say this.... Get everything you want before getting married!!!!

Personally, in the closet of the master bedroom is Airi from Queen's Blade. Previously was Morrigan from Darkstalkers (who is now folded up in the nightstand).

    So yeah, why not both??
