Controversial developer Denis Dyack has started a YouTube Channel for industry insider information.

Despite two failed Kickstarter projects, the channel have just released some teaser videos for Shadow of the Eternals, a spiritual successor to his hit Eternal Darkness. Unfortunately, Dyack has been associated with some poor games since, and his former studio Silicon Knights lost a legal battle with Epic. The court ruled that they had breached their licencing agreement for Unreal Engine, misappropriated trade secrets and infringed on Epic's copyrights. Funny, then, that he now blames "a lot of unethical people [in the press] saying we're doing things that were underhanded" for the failure of the Kickstarters.

Ugh, that's what happens when you write something at the same time as talking about Mega Drive games! Oops! ;)

Wouldn't you think two failed Kickstarters (and didn't they use Indiegogo too?) would clue them in on how much interest there is in the product they're trying to make.

I for one would welcome an Eternal Darkness spiritual successor and hope this ends up doing well.

However, given the situation my hopes aren't held very high.

Seriously, I don't know why the Eternal Champ...Darkness spritual sequel didn't get funded.

I was thinking of "defense of the ancients". Not "shadow of the eternals". My bad.
