My job description and agreements made me keep away from Assembler for the last... has it been 3 years?! I'm no longer with that corporation and have a couple of project coming up for PSX, SNES and DC, so I thought it was about time I logged in again.

For anyone that PM'd me during this time I'm going to assume it's no longer relevant and just skip em.

Thanks! My first project will be to move my development/testing Dreamcast to a 1U rack mount so I can leave it on at all times and have remote control over it. I'll post updates in the Dreamcast section.

One that does not allow any programming/development outside or work and take a very hard stance on anything that even moves in the same circles as IP infringement or DRM breaking. Assembler is not explicitly mentioned of course, but they payed well enough for me to not wanting to stretch that particular boundary.

    seconded.

I can understand the IP & DRM parts, but why would they disapprove of coders doing what they like, outside of work? Unless maybe what you're writing is too close to what you're doing on the job too, therefore potentially/unintentionally publishing internal designs/algorithms... What were you doing, game dev work? Or are you still NDA'd in that regard?

Welcome back! I do remember you sir, it's easier when people don't change the avatar :D

I've been on and off as well, but exiled by daily life tasks unfortunately.

    Looking forward to those projects!
