    Looks like from dec 1st 2008 the import limit is going to go up from €22 to a massive €150

    No more having to pay retarded import tax on a handful of games, obviously your going to get stung if you go over but now theres a sensible limit.

    Wow, that's excellent news! If you think about it, that really is a saving. A £100 item is liable for 17.5% VAT, plus any extra customs fees, plus Royal Mail's charge for paying that charge for you... you're looking at around £25-30 easily.

    Rarely does a single order go over £100 for me so it will be nice not getting busted, not that it happens that often anyway but still :)

    It's all good, although anyone reading the whole text rather then the one line change, will see that the local government can still charge tax if the item is not VAT exempt or if they think the declared amount is lower then the price paid (although neither is likely).

    The bit of good news is that rather then pretending that your 3 games costs less then 20 euros, they can put the full amount so you'll get better insurance.
