That isn't a notes page at the end I'm guessing?

    No. Middle of the guidebook.

Most notes pages are also marked as such as their pages typically match the layout of the rest of the guidebook. There should only be blank pages at the start (front/back) as part of the binding sequence.

In regards to the FFVII copies, weren't there also a few with some printing errors (lines) within some of the copies? Including some typos in one of the versions going off the top of my head.

VIII was done a bit better but I recall having a copy which had a manual that wasn't stapled.

Error Spotlight: Midway's Arcade Greatest Hits Vol 1 Dreamcast

This error is the one that started my fascination with video game errors.
My First and one of my personal favorite Data errors found by me in the wild purchased sometime in 2006 from a Gamestop in Virginia Beach for $7.99. i get home and plug in my dreamcast and am set to play
some retro arcade game i sit down and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 comes up on the screen.
    I first made a post at GSHI.org

(for some reason, i can't access the forum my side, 404/bad gateway, and proxy is playing up, so i'll take word for it)
you know, i always though the disk was f*cked for capcom vs snk. tried it in all my systems only to get that same momentary graphical glitch.
    disk id:
^^ it's when a finishing powermove is used or a brief flash from the final hit to takedown opponent.
the character that got their arse handed back to them are like a blocky mess, the same kind of blocks you get on an aes startup-sequence...
    but only for a split-second.
wow, i though i had a bad print at the time, did a hash check, and it's verified. (the catalogue houses usually run a tight ship)
so, did capcom in their haste to smash out a game and overlooked it, or just making a quick $$? (i'll err on the former, they were much more reputable then)
    thanks for this thread.
i know now i don't have a bunk game, and neither do the hash-houses. (that's a load off for sure)
    [edit]
    typo.

    I have a small typo.
The Metal Gear Solid PS1 promo discs say "metalgear solid" on the title.

The other day, I was thinking about how sometimes I'll find a game that looks like there was a minor printing error. Like the colors look slightly off, or certain elements are shifted slightly. Often the error is barely noticeable - most people probably couldn't tell the difference. I used to think this was just my imagination, but it must actually happen to some degree. I think sometimes the printer gets slightly misaligned so that the different colors don't line up perfectly, or sometimes the ink gets smeared slightly. I think this kind of error is actually pretty common, though it's hard to know exactly how common it is, because, as I said, it's very difficult to detect. The reason it's so common is probably because the people/machines that inspect the finished product don't notice it.

ahhh slights as i call them, i have several the most noticeable at least with ps1 is "miscut" backs you will notice a different color line along the spine. the only way I count those is if it has part of the title effected and showing up on the back thats the point i don't concider it a slight error

My copy of American McGee's Alice for PC which I bought on the day of release has the play disc and install disc the wrong way round. Caused a lot of confusion for my younger self.

It's in the loft somewhere. I'm moving in a few weeks so when it resurfaces I'll see if I can prove it somehow.

Super necrobump, I know, but I just discovered my copy of X Wing vs TIE Fighter has the master disc and the multiplayer disc swapped.

I was wondering why the game would only let me join a game.

I had a US NTSC copy of Metal Gear Solid TTS on gamecube with some of the pages in the instruction manual upside down, I sold it a while ago though. That is the only "error" that I have encountered that I can think of.

Sorry, no pics. If I remember correctly some of the pages were upside down and had part of the printed page missing, leaving just a blank white section a few centimetres wide.

    I obviously am missing it.
Also any manual, I think mine was originally in a big box but whoever eventually sold or donated it to where I bought it tossed all that. It literally has one little insert with the logo on the front, and nothing of interest on the back.
