I'm pretty drunk and i've been reading soo much about ww1 ,ww2 and aztec invasion by the Spaniards for around 5 hours, so im wondering, how did you all find assemblergames? I personally found it while looking up hl2 for the dc when it was released, and you?

Around 2004, while assembler was still some sort of blog hoasted on "roarvgm". I appeared here looking for Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, and Assembler had some cool little ufo-catcher transparent figures of the girls. And well, all the cool hardware reviews updated every so often.
I found the forums much later.

I knew of his old museum site (found it online a few times) but, i think, I didn't come to Assemblergames till after buying up one of the acclaim NR-Readers off him on ebay. =)

After all these years, I now consider this one of my online homes. =)

I found assembler whilst looking for info about the unreleased xbox game "the red star" finally got a boxed copy but it was lost with most of my xbox collection and debug hardware when my house was robbed...I did post a scan of the box though I believe.

I believe I first heard about the site after Assembler acquired Sonic Xtreme and posted that video on YouTube. A year or so later, I signed up just for the hell of it (and have just started trading on here recently).

    And here I am. :p

I found Assemblergames.com after the great retrogaming summer of 2001. I was in a videogame high and sites like TSR's NES Archive, benheck, NFGgames, and even eBay provided lots to look at and read on the retrogaming front. assembler.roarvgm.com was really like experiencing a museum, though. The feeling that these pieces of hardware are the few remaining remnants of times passed by. I would continue to visit the site for another four years, at which point, I joined the new forums...

Honestly, I completely forgot how I stumbled across it. I was around 16 at the time, so I was probably searching for porn and somehow ended up here.

Pretty sure that I found it back when I was interested in JAMMA stuff. Probably was looking for a place to talk about that sort of thing.

I vaguely remember someone showing me a Neogeo emulator back in 2000 or so (I was fifteen or sixteen) and thinking, wait, so how many others are there that I haven't really encountered?

Around that time I stumbled upon the old roarvgm site. Certainly opened my eyes.

I obtained a messload of dev equipment and probably, "Yahoo'ed" around and stumbled across the "Room of Doom" page. From then on, I grew in my career alongside with this forum, stumbling into curiosities.

Some years ago while I looked for anything related to rare gaming stuff I found the old ASSEMbler museum, but I hadn't found the boards until Hawanja recommended me to check them. After some months in December 2006 I finally registered here :D

the time i registered would have been when i had finally gotten out of my first actual job and had some actual cash for about the first time in my life to spend on something nice... Was asking a friend of mine about the ps2 tools since i've been wanting one ever since i ran into a pic on google many, many years ago.

obviously i knew nothing of them and wasn't really sure if i should get one, but after the friend linked me to the markedplace here and i realized i actually could... (after 50 posts -_-) buy it, well, here i am.

im not really sure if it was the first time ever i stumbled into the place but that's the time i registered anyway... (seems to be march 14th 2009 according to my profile :p)

so yes, im one of those weirdos who joined up because of the marketplace, shameless, i know :(

i've been dead busy as of late, but i grew onto the site to a degree that whenever there's something im curious about, need help with or whatever, i always find myself browsing here. The community is made out of solid win and the amount of information here is not something that could be easily beaten.
