If you are registered here with hotmail be aware the IP address we received was already blacklisted, so we are in the process of getting it reviewed and whitelisted again.
Not much I can do about that. Hotmail uses symantec for anti-virus and symantec have not responded yet. I have contacted the host and told them they game me a bad, blacklisted ip. If I can't get it to work soon, I will demand a clean IP and change the ip.
Yuck symantec I may have a temp fix for you but it's limited to 10,000 emails a month (for free) but then it would cost. It's a service called mailgun.com and I use it myself on a few sites. The emails will be sent via their servers and they would check for spam etc and make sure the mail arrives in the users inbox without being marked as spam. It does work on XenForo and is simple to setup it takes around 5 minutes to add. The pricing after the first 10,000 works out roughly $5 but I don't know how many emails you would go through though. The clean IP option might be better though not sure.
I dont recieve mail aswell at my hotmail. last mail I got was on 30-6-2015 (so its fresh.) I only noticed because of this thread.
I do not think it is just this site. Several others that I frequent where a reset/forgotten PW option was used resulted in no emails to my Hotmail account also. Thought it was just me.
