Or the Monty Python kind? (sorry, couldn't resist)

My personal Holy Grail(s) are to finish off my Limited edition xbox collection, but still got a way to go yet, software wise, i would love to get hold of a certain unreleased xbox game from Peter Molyneux

That's kind of subjective, don't you think? What may be a "holy grail" to one person might be garbage to someone else.

True. But people can appreciate if something is disgustingly rare and therefore a 'grail' in one sense..even if its not to their liking.

World Championship Soccer 2 on the Megadrive, PAL Blue box release.

Probably not a holy grail to most on here, but for a PAL MD collector like me it's definitely the rarest game i'll ever want.

Some were manufactured but it never went into production for sale. I beleive I even seen it one year at E3 in the past.

    -----

Another would be blue 64DD disk with stuff on them (yeah one of our forum member here has a few)

    -----

My personal one right now would be the ****ing golden key to the n64DD. Where is that ****ing trigger.

That or a iQue with every game on it (or atleast updated to Online firmware so I could dl some games).

I m a big Mother fan (including one ex class-mate's mother, but that's another topic ), so Mother 3 for the DD is right up there for me. Other than that, the Zip version of the DD.

    Notice how I didn't say the SNES-CD..=p

See, the metaphor only works for stuff that was actually released. You have to have SOME hope of finding the stuff.

My number one item would be the HiSaturn Navi. I love seeing revised hardware, and no game console got revised more than the Saturn (all the Playstation variants notwithstanding.) I have this continuously unfulfilled goal of pimping out my car with an obscure game console, and the Navi would fit that bill perfectly. Having its own screen and the DC power adapter already built-in doesn't hurt either.

I'd like to get my Sony IVO-V11 back. This is a portable CDi unit that ran off a standard camcorder battery and had a built-in screen and controller pad. I foolishly sold it a few years back, on the notion that I should only hang on to stuff I actually use. The only bad thing about it was that it wasn't expandable, and so they never made an MPEG decoder card for it.

I'm not sure what would count as a software holy grail for me. I seem to have grabbed one (or more) of every obscure RPG I can think of. Panzer Saga? Picked it up at launch. Faselei? Not as rare as they want you to think it is. Crystal Warriors? I have two and the GG link cable.

Earthbound 64 would be my top pick, followed by english translated Rent-A-Hero for the Xbox.

Well, the Ique you have already - all you need are the games and a way to put them on it :p.

As for the 64DD, im getting closer to think that that switch doesnt even exist...
