Hi there folks, I came across somebody selling a Game Gear in pretty good external shape for a good price, but the thing is that the unit doesn't show any image or sound at all, and can only be turned on with the AC adaptor. I wondered if this could be fixed by replacing the capacitors, or it is something more complicated. Looking forward to get some answers soon. Thank you!
So when you turn it on the red LED comes on? If so, then it sounds like its a capacitor issue and the battery compartment needs cleaning with a wire brush.
Yes the LED indicator turns on, I have asked the seller if the screen backlight turns on as well, even though the screen itself doesn't. Thanks a lot for your answer, I'll try my best to fix it.
