Of course it matters. If either (or both) of the parties involved has behaved dishonourably then we have the right to know, in case we ever have the opportunity to deal with them in the future. Conversely, if one or both parties is innocent, then it's only right that they be shown to be. That's not a 'witch-hunt', it's just the accepted rights of everyone, rights which we should respect. I've not been on these forums for long, but from what I've seen it's mostly very free from the usual trolls, spammers, and con-artists you find on public forums, and I'm sure we all want to keep it that way.

 

I know what you mean..but keep in youre mind that this "deal" never was thought to be public. Wha there happens is a shame but it has not much to do with the members over here. And still nobody of us know the truth as too many just talks something they dont know anything about..Rumors comes up etc. If you think its better to not deal with them anymore for sure its youre opertunity but the "truth" will never be showed. As nobody of *dealers" wants to keep any proof or more informations.

 

Interesting point regarding the deal being private and not something worked out through the forums. Perhaps this deal used Assembler forums at it's inception as this is how the two parties were able to meet and communicate. Apparently a private deal is within Assembler jurisdiction.

I've seen a few sites start implementing a trading/sales feedback system that attaches to the forum users directly without exposing full details fo the transaction to the public, only admins and the parties involved- has there been any thought about that here, or is this something that could cause negative side-effects?

 

Well i see what you are meaning. But this "protection" is not solid at all..its a start but at then end it will not safe anybody from a scamm. But 4sure im hoping myself never to get in this situation.

 

You have been here a week - you have not seen the NUMEROUS issues with gmanwillis, because he talks the talk and gets the thread deleted. This forums marketplace is quite free from scammers - because of how we operate. Maybe you should have less of an opinion and let us deal with it - if you like how the forum is, its because these things get dealt with.
