Saw that an hour ago. Oh so close I can almost smell it, if that was possible.

I was in bed and pretty tired when I noticed this post... and now I am far too hyper to fall asleep anytime soon! To see this game in such a state of near-completion is just amazing. Cannot believe it didn't make it retail. But even more so cannot believe that I will be playing this soon for myself!

Looks really cool, can´t wait :p

just a side note, why does it look so damn good?
never had a dreamcast, although I´m gonna get one soon, looks like the dreamcast would be able to deliver a pretty decent picture.....
first I thought it would be on PS2 or even an early Xbox game (just from what it looked like, I mean I knew it´s for Dreamcast)....Wow

Man, we had some dumb people in charge over at Sega, the Dreamcast had so much damn potential, but so many factors were involved and hindered it at every turn. This looks like such a good game, and I honestly can not see why this was kept from the public and never went to retail.

I agree with you Assembler, if a game like Pen Pen can get released and has a market, why the hell was this not released especialy with it being concurrent with Starfox 64? That game sold well, and logic should have told them that this might find a better place at retail than many other lesser games on the system.

Anyway, thanks for the great video.

From the little menu there after you booted up the game I guess there's a debug mode enabled? I noticed during gameplay that there was something hidden on the lower left half of the screen that looked like a window. Gindows debugger maybe?

Either way, I'm super excited about this. Good job everyone! :)

If you look at some of the early beta footage that's been around on the net for years, they all have that same box in the lower left section of the screen. It looks just like the box used in REZ beta so I'm guessing once you connect a mouse or keyboard you'll be able to access it.

I'm guessing from the look of the game that Geist Force was reworked from the ground up as Rez with a different visual style. Of course many shooters can have a similar style, but two completely different projects from the same company having simlar features would be too much of a coincidence for my liking, especially given as they were not happy with the quality of Geist but they were with Rez. I wouldn't be surprised if Rez incorporated stuff considered for Geist, or at least brought some of the lessons learned to the table.

Looks pretty awesome, if a bit slow, not that it couldnt have been fixed in development / debug menus even. Looking forward to getting my hands on it in the nearish future. Take your time though Kev, do it right :) As always, let me know if you need anything.

Definitely looks like a response to Star Fox 64.
