    Thanks for the heads up.

Seems like the price has gone up quite a bit though - clear blue $30, yellow one $29.

I'm not too sure. However, I've seen Gameboy Pocket Lights for $25 here.

As well as some Game Theory Admirals (Portable NES Clone that looks like a GBA) for $3.

I guess they aren't back- (or front-)lit. The description doesn't mention anything like that, anyways - OTOH it does seem to say there aren't any boxes.

Where's it say that? My limited Chinese (my GF isn't around to help translate) isn't picking up anything about the listing mentioning no box. It's pictured with one, so it'd be safe to assume it comes with one unless otherwise stated.

Google's translation of "纸盒已全部没了,全都没了" is "Cartons have all gone, all gone". It's only mentioned in the paragraph with the huge "=65" though, not sure what's up with that exactly.

I didn't read the page, but I assume those units are refurbished from real Nintendo parts? The Cheap DS systems are rebuilt from spare motherboards and junk, so I wouldn't be supprised if this was another instance of that.

There seem to be different versions of the GB Boy. The one pictured on the box and the first post has a similar sub-PCB for audio as the real Game Boy. However, mine has this stuff built onto its mainboard. Mainboard is all new, so are buttons, case etc. Connectors might be old stock or not. They look different from my Game Boy, but might be the one from the GBA.

Haven't tested the link cable port yet, but it is there. The only thing missing is infra-red -- at least in my version. The GB Boy I have has a little window for infrared, but no diodes.

If you read the description you'll see that the more expensive one has built in games.

Also, only one has a color screen.

edit: The photos lead me to believe the "built in" games aren't, there's a multicart included. i.e. no intrnal memory you could put your own roms on - you'd still need a flash cart.

The GB Boy Colour is backlit while the GB Boy is not.

The screen pixel height is different from the original GBC and the LCD pixel is not arranged in square.
I don't wanna recommend it for serious gamer.Maybe suitable for low age child as a general toy.But I think they would more prefer iOS games.

You can get a used original gameboy or gameboy color in very good condition for the same price. These things don't appeal to me.

Yes, I was thinking of buying a modded GBC for 80$ on ebay and wanted to know if these clone are worth.

    Thanks.
