$45 plus shipping. Includes blank media. I've never shipped out the U.S. before so I have no idea what that entails. The box reads "For use on U.S. consoles". Apologies for the pictures. My camera is giving me trouble. Does not include the 1GB SD Card. The yellow arrow in that one picture is pointing to the "SD USB 2.0 high speed reader".
Isn't this the same as AR? The disc for the European version reads "Action Replay" instead of "SD Media Launcher", so I always thought it was one and the same.
I have one of these. You can load games on sd card as well and play them. But I can only get 2 GB cards to work in mine.
If I remember correctly, some games will not work off the SD card. Also, my experience aligns with yours: More 2GB cards are compatible with this than 1GB cards. That's probably why I misplaced the 1GB card that came with it.
Sorry for bumping this but is this SD memory card adapter for gamecube here: http://amzn.com/B00BYGH188 compatible for that SD Media Launcher as well? Just curious Also, could the newer Action Replay gamecube/Wii discs work with SDload app? cuz i've heard you need to enter a pretty long code on the older ones butn rather unsure if the company disabled it on those ones or not.
Sorry, don't know the answer to any of your questions. And the link you posted is for a Wii adapter according to the description.
These cheap adapters work fine with Swiss/SDload.....In fact, I believe those $1 deal extreme adapters work better than the SD Media Launcher.
Really?! Awesome man! Thanks for the confirmation ☺ btw, could i use it on the newer gamecube/wii action replay discs from best buy?
Yes I bought the SD Media Launcher from Code Junkies directly, which came with an SD card to GBC MC adapter. I also purchased a white SD to Wii MC adapter. I use that one with an SDHC card, because I have to keep swiss on a regular SD card since SDML cannot read the startup application from SDHC cards. So essentially I'm forced to use TWO adapters, 1 SD card, and 1 SDHC card.
I can't remember where, but I vaguely recall reading reports that the newer AR discs don't work for this purpose. If you don't have a modchip w/ SDload, don't you need the disc to start SWISS? Edit: Clarification.
Yes sorry, you do need someway of loading unsigned code to run Swiss or SDLoad..However for a small amount of modification there is tons of benefit.... I believe that you are right that the Newer action replay disks do not allow you to run homebrew apps.
