I don't remember much of x-files, because i was just a kid when it was on. But i remember enjoying it a lot until Mulder got abducted. After that, i don't think i enjoyed it anymore.

I do need to watch it again at some point.

 

I'm watching it now. It's kind of annoying how much patience Mulder has with Scully and it's also ridiculous how they haven't fucked yet (s03e11). I mean she's seen everything there is too see and still, three goddamn seasons in, she's not sure if there are aliens or if there is a government conspiracy. Jesus christ Scully, talk about denial ffs. But, other than the childish ridiculousness of the 90s (Scully's denial, Mulder's neverending search for "the truth" eventhough he's seen most it by now) it's kind of good. It has that goody goody feeling to it that I like.

 

Removing Mulder was really late in the series, only the last season or two didn't have him, I think. The episodes without him were really bad, although my pick for worst episode (First Person Shooter) was one with Mulder.

The early seasons are still enjoyable, even if the "monster of the week" structure seems dated compared to today's shows where all the episodes are interconnected.

 

How was new X-Files? Anybody watch it?

 

It took almost 8 years, but I finally enabled "preview other member's signatures". What a time to be alive

I missed the first half of the first episode, but the second half looked great.

 

For the record, I constantly find you to be the funniest person here. Not "You're really funny..."

 

It would be great to turn this into a dedicated Joe Pesci Show thread, but all the videos on Youtube were taken down/blocked in the US.

Say anything you want huh.....I wish I could get the hang of building computers, taking them apart bit by bit and figuring out what makes them tink. But I don't have a good setup here and I'm the one with computer knowledge of anything, so it feels harder to progress from there. Almost like I'm in a bubble and the harder I try to puncture the surface the more nicked the knife becomes until the metal weakens and then bends or snaps.
