I thought my post about Vince Vaughn being a smoking asshole on set was way more interesting than what you guys are on about.

I think I've had two or three on this site, and once I was banned for baiting a racist to flame me and tell me how ukranians are a superior race (or something like that).

 

Yes, it's only him and there are no direct shots of him smoking. Like lighting a cigarette or taking out a pack. It's just some short and vague shots here and there as if he was just smoking on set all the time and everyone pretends that he wasn't.
If it's not some subtle gag then he is/was a *major* league asshole. That would be news to me, yes

I checked up on that and read the AMA on the gentleman who was with Vince Vaughn. Very interesting. I didn't really know that he had the reputation of being an "ass hole." According to that AMA he busted his butt to meet and greet during that phase of promotion for Dodgeball.

 

I still say that we should get rid of the shoutbox. Too much trouble.

 

i was about to leave anyway,this place just isn't what it used to be now too many either spammers or perfectionists.It's a shame really,because this used to be the place to read about unreleased games and consoles but the cracks have started to show during the past year and a half and i think it's time i bid this place a well needed goodbye

 

Alright, I'm sick of people saying things like that. Spammers? Seriously? I don't think that I have seen more than one in the last couple of months. Guess what, it happens and the staff take pretty good care of cleaning up after them.

Perfectionists? Not really, but yes, there are a few people with huge egos here. It's the internet, what do you expect? Don't like it? Leave. Bitching about it does nothing but cause people like me to get pissed off at people like you.

 

It may have taken 13+ years, but X-FILES will have a 10th season. I think 2016 is on to a good start.

 

I've never heard of any rumours about him, mainly because hollywood rumours are for old ladies at the barber's, imho .
But, like I said, if it's not some kind of gag or subliminal advertising by the tobacco industry then he's simply being incredibly rude to his surroundings. And I say that as someone who smokes a pack a day myself.

 

I think it was a joke of sorts. As in, he's heading over to do something phsyical and he's smoking a cigarette right before starting. Also, it could reflect how little they care about the gym they're using. He just flicks the cigarette anywhere instead of putting it out somewhere. I know comedies might sometimes have an unprofessional work environment, I don't think they would have started shooting if he was in the middle of a smoke break. It definitely works well within the scene. It just seems too convenient to be a slip-up.

 

That's the thing, this movie isn't big on subtleness. Everything is in your face. And this thing is subtle, like if you literally blinked for a second then you would've missed it. It also doesn't fit with the characters or the movie. So basically it feels very out of place and that's what makes me relatively condfident that it wasn't a joke.
I had to rewind after like 30 seconds to double check if I just saw whay i thought I saw.

Ironically enough, around 15 years ago everyone wanted X-Files to go off the air already.

 

Didn't mostly everything change a few seasons in? Between relocating from BC to So Cal, removing Mulder, adding a bunch of other people.. Haven't seen the later episodes in a very long time, I barely remember what made it suck now.

The movies are night and day. The first one was great, the second one that came out in the late 00s (way after the show ended) was pretty awful.

Hopefully the new series will be more like the first movie/half of the series.
