Are you located too far away for them to deliver to you?

 

The good pizza shop is a drive. A mediocre pizza shop or 3 deliver, but it's paying the same price for the good pizza + waiting the extra time for the delivery rounds + tipping the driver. There is a Pizza Hut that delivers from a far-away land, but it usually takes them well over an hour. My favorite was this place that no one can remember the name of. Not sure if they exist or not anymore, but I do vaguely remember them delivering during a blizzard at like, 2 AM. (For some reason on more than one occasion.)

Home-made pizza, that's where it's at.

Side-note: Does your stretch of Pennsylvania also have several OK-ish Italian restaurants that get most of their business from take-out beer? It seems to be a pretty common thing statewide.

Anyone know what happened with Lyth? I've tried sending him a PM here but he has not been online since June 3. I am curious about the outcome or any updates with his recent pirate game project. What about the other forum the project was posted on?

I realized I never answered your question.

I mean, I guess. There are 2 restaurants around 35-40 minutes from me that have six-pack shops. One is a Coney Island, and the other calls itself a Tavern. Besides that, not as much as you'd expect. What about around your way?

 

Within a 30-mile radius, there is one at least every 2-3 miles.

Makes me wonder what would happen to all of them if we began selling beer at grocery stores like pretty much every other state in the country. I don't know how long a lot of these places could make a living on their food alone.

 

You mind me asking where you're located? I kinda wish I had a situation like yours. I have a weak spot for malt liquor, which is usually found in 6 pack shops. Then again, maybe it's a good thing I'm not in your situation haha. I mean, Giant Eagle around here sells alcohol. They just have to follow PA's lame regulations, which are numerous and quite arbitrary.

 

I'm in the area between Reading and Allentown.

I can get the malt liquor sentiment. It's pretty much the best deal unless you are buying a case. 6 packs are always overpriced... Especially the good brands.

Fun fact: When I used to live in Philly, there were shattered Old E bottles (and CRTs) everywhere. Seems like right after I left, Old E switched from glass 40s to plastic! What is the world coming to?!

 

Oh, I believe you're about 4-5 hours from me. Small world. It is a good value, and there's just something about the taste for me. I just really like it for whatever reason. They do sell Mickey's in 6 packs, not too expensive at the GH Tavern.

Really? Quite classy. They have indeed switched over, as has Mickey's. For the best haha.
