The Lamborghini is just the codename for the Centenario, there's nothing unannounced in there.
Didn't valve make a mistake where cut content from HL2 (they weren't even on the beta) ended being in a update?
Also, this debug feature made me recall that Techland by mistake released the debug version of Dead Island at the launch day on Steam.
Not sure how the game is packaged, but can you post just the exes. I dont care about all the art assets, I just want to get it under the dissasembler
Thanks to NTAuthority I think we can consider this one preserved for now.
I mentioned in the original post that UWPDumper wouldn't put out the complete game. It turns out that it reached a file it didn't like, couldn't handle the error, and simply said "Done!" instead of letting me know what was wrong. NTA disassembled it, studied UWPDumper himself using an install of Recore that he had, then sent me another tool (not sure if he made it or modified it or what) to inject and dump the whole game - this time it was a success. Only 7 tiny files were missing, and we both think they're leftovers that the game will run without.
We're going to experiment tomorrow to make sure it can indeed be packaged and ran without these 7 files. For now we're optimistic. I have three backups - the main one I'm working on, a copy on a USB drive, and a copy on my laptop - so I think we can call this one safe even if Windows Store decides to focribly update my copy.
Great to hear!! Look forward towards anything on this.
I've managed to repack, transfer, and run the game on another machine.
Like I've probably said before, I have no idea if/when/how I might get it to someone else, but now we know that the dump is complete enough for the game to work.
Can you upload it somewhere?
Very cool, nice find! An upload would be great.
If you actually want to release this then I could link you a folder for upload on my onedrive, plenty of space there or we could torrent it from you then anyone who gets it can then upload it.
Once we can get it up for download im sure the mirrors would pop up real fast.
I second a torrent. I'd be down for seeding.
So can we hope for a real simple "fix" for this game or still using the complicated NTAuthority Immersive Host to run it? does this dev build contain DRM?
Well, this is awesome! I can't wait to see all the goodies that are found.
It just runs as-is like the release version. Nothing special and no protection that I know of. You need to sign into an Xbox account to play it (I highly recommend not using any main accounts, make another free account to play it) but I don't think it even checks the Windows store.
Have you tried starting it without internet? Gears 4 for example downloads a license certificate each time the game is being started.
