Is there a way to stretch the FM Towns 256x240 video mode to fill the entire screen?

I am finishing up Frog Feast, and would like to support the 256x240 mode, but don't want the black bands on the side of the screen.

Currently I'm using a 320x240 background, with a 256x240 foreground image (for sprites and double buffering).

may be it's the same question. for the normal FM Towns II model (as shown in the picture below), are there any easy connections to a standard SVGA (1024*768 res). TFT-screen, without losses?

Doesn't the FM Towns support a number of resolutions, as I remember Splatterhouse having more options then you could shake a stick at and all of them generally not filling the entire screen.
