Hello everyone, Favorite video game intros? Final Fantasy 7 and 8 are good, Kingdom Hearts 1/2, Marvel vs Capcom 3 intro which I just saw recently is good, Dissidia Final Fantasy intro is good, Batman Arkham Asylum intro was good, and the last intros I can think of which I think are good are Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and 2. Mate, there's even Wild Arms 5, which I've heard is awesome. Or was it 4 that was awesome? Last one I had the time to play was 3, and it was a very classical RPG experience. 4 and 5 are more... experimental, for their time.

The intro to SA1 is awesome. Great music, good atmosphere. Promised so much, gave so little. I remember when I was waiting to get a Dreamcast, I would watch trailers for games on this random Sky TV channel. They'd often show the SA1 intro. This coupled with a few magazine screen caps was all I knew of the game and as a die hard Sonic fan I simply could not wait, it looked incredible. What the fuck went wrong?
SA1 Wasn't that bad, the problem to me was SA2. In the first you could choose which character you wanted to play with, in the second one you're force to play with every character, the only good stages were the Sonic and Shadow levels, the rest were awful. I'll NEVER forget Pumkin Hill and that FUCKING AWFUL RAP, after 15 minutes it pierces your brain and makes more damage than smoking meth, it's awful. Back On-Topic, the best intro ever is the one in Another World (link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j4gO9sR7zs), the music fits the intro perfectly and it sets the tone for the rest of the game.

My all time favorite? Maybe the Ninja Gaiden II (NES) intro. Wonderful music and a great setup to a classic game. Other notables: Sonic CD Tales of Vesperia Blue Dragon Guardian Heroes Panzer Dragoon Saga And... thats all I can think of right now. Edit: Final Fantasy VI
