Watching those videos were very nostalgic. I really hope that Sega doesn't shut this down.

    Saw this yesterday, amazing stuff!

I have always thought how amazing a remake would be - they should do it how the Halo CE remake was done, in that you can switch between old graphics new graphics.

Sega NEED to at least get a re-release made.......

WOW! That really does look stunning. Must be a real labour of love and a stunning piece of work.

Lets hope we see a final product and Sega do the honorable thing and either work with him or pick up their own!

Now I need to dig out the original.

That really is an amazing bit of work but I can't help feel the choice of games in the game centre are not idea and spoil the illusion. I mean, Virtua Fighter 2???? Even Virtua Racing didn't exist back then. Also, some mega drive games in the arcade cabinet. I also noticed the incision of a Korean drink in to the coke machine :) Still, I'm just being picky. The results are something Sega should have done long ago unless they've been working on Shenmue 3 but I doubt it.

They should of waited until it was completely finished before announcing, it looks gorgeous though, but sadly we all know SEGA will probably send a C&D as others have mentioned.

Absolutely stunning! I also like the artistic liberty NoconKid took while re-creating the arcade :)

It looks cool, but it would be a massive undertaking to remake the entire game in that style. It would be a massive project even for Sega, let alone a group of fans. We'll see how it turns out. I agree with Yakumo that their selection of arcade games doesn't make much sense. The game does make references to Virtua Fighter, but the arcade didn't have those games in the original. If they're going to remake it, I'd want it to be accurate to the original in terms of content.

Ryo can also play Hang On on the Saturn (which is referred to as a Master System in the game, I think). I read somewhere that they were actually planning on including a Saturn emulator in the game, which would allow you to play real discs. Not sure if that's true.

I think i'm in the minority here that i think it looks a bit... um... weird? I don't mean to belittle the effort but it's lacking something that i can't put my finger on. Needs dirtied up a bit?

Maybe a bit too glossy or shiny?

Well, in the original games you can collect figures based on games like Virtua Fighter, Sonic the Fighters and 18 Wheeler which definitely didn't exist back then...
