carts v1 not available anymore. here is list of main changes in v2:

    1) v2 can load firmware via sd card. hardware core (firmware) and software core (OS) now is merged in single file, so OS update may carry firmware update also. jtag not need for carts v2

    2) bit more fast loading, and may be much more fast with future updates

3)pcb was redesigned on 100%, physical pcb design was improved

    4) ed64 v2 can use cic6105 as boot chip, so we can play banjo tooi. however some games, which uses 6103, stops working. i don't know if 64drive have same problem, but friend says neo myth 64 also can't boot 6103 games, if 6105 used as boot chip. 1080º Snowboarding for example. i will fix it if possible

also i have plan to make some hardware fpga emulators for ed64 and mega ed in future. such kind of features will be available for v2 cuz new cart can reconfigure fpga instantly

I think the optimal solution would be to either switch between 6103 and 6105 or emulate them, if that becomes possible in the future.

all games except banjo already works fine if cart use 6102 boot chip, so i will not make any switches just for one game, but may be i will find the reason why 6103 games don't work with 6105 and will fix it. it must be some error in OS code or just physically impossible to play 6103 games with 6105 chip

I did not want to sound like a critic. You are already doing so much, putting so much effort in your products. Thank you for that!

Did you take my advice and get them made by someone else? As those boards look like they were built at a factory?

    Hello Igor,

Would it be possible prompt for on the fly ips/aps patching if romname.ips or romname.aps files were put the same folder as a virgin romname.v64? Also, is it possible to add action replay / game genie type codes to the Everdrive64? More items to add to your growing feature request list...

Sounds great, though I hope you get that 6103 chip sorted out.

RTC simulation for Dobutsu no Mori / Animal Crossing is more important, isn't it?

For those who REALLY want Banjo Tooie they could solder in a 16 pin socket where the CIC chip is to go and switch to 6102 if they want to play a 6103 game. This does of course mean the ED64 won't fit into a shell.

So your saying you solder in surface mount components on your own? As an inexperienced console modder may I ask where or how did you learn to solder?

surface mount is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I prefer surface mount to through hole now.
