Won it for a measly $41:victorious:

If you ever come across an auction that says pickup only, message the seller & ask if they will send it or if you can organise a courier to pick it up. This does work,i did for this auction & i am now just waiting for details so i can arrange courier to collect it. I only hope the seller doesnt change their mnd or what have you

Where does the audio go if you use this cable? I assume that all 3 component cables are only video which leaves me to believe that the red and white audio are missing. I feel like this might be a stupid question, but I have never seen that cable before so I am unsure.

I thought I was retarded or something haha. My GC looks like this on the back. I had no idea they made models with a digital out!

What makes it confusing is the jack outputs digital audio and video. Except Nintendo never released a cable to do so.

The component cable uses an encoder chip for analog video. Ignoring audio entirely.

So what would be the point of putting a digital out port on a console if the cords you use just convert it back to analog anyways?

I have no idea. You'd think Nintendo could've just had one universal chip for composite / s-video / RGB / component.

Instead they made s-video NTSC only, RGB PAL only, and left component external.

Yeah it doesn't make much sense, but I'm guessing it had to do with saving money

Makes me wonder. Has anyone tried swapping the video encoder, or whatever chip is responsible for their difference, between an NTSC and PAL console?

They function no different to an NR Reader without that, right?
