You'll need to select "returns not accepted" from now on manually, as returns will be on by default from now on.

Now they've automated it, they don't need to ask they can just click a button.

I'm curious where the decision comes from, some people who list don't change any of the fields. Usually all their terms are in the listing.

You can have a dream and it take a long time to implement?

Like one day you can decide you want to be an astronaut, but it hardly happens over night?

They are making it harder for users to end up scammed; that change is nothing but beneficial.

If the item isn't as described, you have always been allowed to return it (in the UK at least). And business sellers have to accept any return for any reason within 14 days due to distance selling regulations.

Yeah I don't think this is that huge a change. Even if you had set your auctions to "I don't accept returns" in the past, and perhaps even mentioned that in the description, all it takes is a disgruntled buyer making a little bit of noise for ebay/paypal to steal the seller's funds and give them back to the buyer. All these websites are set up to encourage buyer confidence and make for a good experience for the buyer.
