Dumping a 3DS CTR Cart.

Hello all,

Since yet, I haven't noticed that DS dev carts and 3DS dev carts have the same shape (see the pictures I took below). Then I wonder if someone has ever tried to dump a 3DS cart using the same way we do it for DS carts (with WoodDumper for example).



DS and 3DS probably not work the same way. Voltage of frequency may be different. Has anyone information on this ? Or anyone knows if someone has ever tried to dump a 3DS game using a DS ?

Gateway isn't for 3DS only ?

 

uncart *should* work, but you'll need a properly exploited 3ds

 

I have few 3DS but I don't know to use them yet. I just wonder if it is possible from a DS. I would like to test but I want to be sure that I will not damage the 3DS carts I have.

 

No current method for DS.
Use gateway, or uncart if gateway doesn't work.

 

Thanks a lot for the answer. I have tried to dump a dev ctr cart with the "No gateway" methode (using an online website and a special file on my SD card) but it hasn't worked. But is was working with a retail game. So I wonder if 3DS dev cart can be dumped with a retail 3DS.

yes, dev support was added for the dumping of a similar-(or identical)looking dev cart.
Make sure you disable decryption and trimming for a proper dump
