dsi top screen broke off

    my dsi was open and i tripped when walking and it went flying out of a 3 story window onto concrete today the top screen was hanging on by the ribbon cable it was still working but then my nephew pulled the top screen and broke the ribbon cable and now it will not power on what can i do there are photos on there i need

    You need a new case, and the ribbon cables.

    Probably cheaper to buy another dsi

    I have another dsi screen I could send you for cost of shipping (like $5). I used the backlight for a GG LED mod but the screen was bought new and should be fine.

    if i was to find a cheap dsi will be hard were i live they still sell for like $50nzd+ can i just swap the motherboards and be able to get my photos

    cool but i live in new zealand also the top part of the case is broken beyond repair the bottom part of the dsi is 100% fine tho

    Get on eBay, then...

    1. Order a new top housing (£2 from UK or £9 from China)
    2. Order a new screen (£4 from Hong Kong)
    3. Order a proper camera.

    Just buy a cheap used DSi and transplant the motherboard over from your broken console.

    Yeah, if your not to bothered about having the day working and just want the pictures off it, it may be worth asking in local repair shops if they have a old cracked screen you can have just to throw in and transfer your pictures to Sd (never actually really used a dsi but I assume that's a feature they have)

    thanks i used my mates old dsi and switched motherboards then got pics off thanks :)
