if anyone know knows who doraemon a very popular anime in japan then you will know that there is a 1973 doraemon anime it was very unsuccessful and failed badly but it the 80s there was a fire and it destroyed most of the film so i was wondering if anyone here have recordings on a vhs tape on film if you do please tell me thanks
If you're looking to buy a tape, this should be in your WTB thread, really. However, if you're asking if someone in Japan happened to tape a show on VHS in 1973, then you're going to be sorely disappointed. The first VHS machine came out in late 1976. Betamax was released in 1975. Admittedly, U-matic was released in 1971, but it was extremely expensive and so was seldom found in a domestic environment. You'll just have to make do with the surviving footage.
It seems somewhat unlikely, if it was cancelled after 6 months due to poor ratings, that they would continue airing it. Regardless, if anyone had any tapes, they would most likely have surfaced by now.
Also more likely to be found in an obscure Japanese community rather than here at Assembler, full of us whities
