I recently acquired a reference tool controller that I would like to make use of with my dex/test console running 4.50 OFW. From reading up it needs an update, of which I haven't the clue what the update looks like or where to find it. I have dug through several SDK's but to no avail. If anyone has a way or a trick to get this to work, that'd be fantastic. If it's just too old of a controller or the 4.50 ofw is too high, knowing that would be helpful as well.
I'm also interested in this. I've got a couple of CBEH-1010, but I think they might be updated in a similar way. Thanks!
I have the updates for the pad. I am not sure it's ok to share ps3 sdk content on the forums though, can a mod get back to me on this?
I just saw a whole PSP SDK shared here, so I guess it's allowed? Anyway, just a question I don't know if you can answer. When you updated a pad with these tools, is it permanent, or you can go back to a previous firmware? Thanks in advance!
You can go back to a previous firmware by setting the pad to DFU mode, provided that you have the update file for it. (there were multiple firmware updates released for the pads) I saw the PSP SDK, but I rather have a mod/admin's green light before I do anything on a public section of the forum. I can't look for the files before next thursday anyway.
Anyone know what the newest firmware on the console will work with the updates available for this controller? ie: once updated it would only work with DEX ofw 4.46...
I don't know if we are gonna get a yes or no from admin to get the link but I know this could be useful to many members.
PSP is a faded platform, while titles are still being sold I don't see this as being a piracy issue, if anything this may cause some further home development or innovation. Feel free to share what you like, but please remember your actions are your own and laws vary by region. That having been said, any psp dev talk is allowed. Please keep any content off the site and keep it focused on development and absolutely not about piracy. If you are linking to anything please do it via a shared online doc on mega or some similar site, do not, I repeat DO NOT post links to files on the site.
Well, I don't want to ruin the party, but ASSEMbler indicated PSP stuff is fine, as it is a fading/almost discontinued platform. PS3 on the other hand, while being gen N-1, still sees active development, so I'd suggest if you want to share anything PS3 related, do so via PM (don't get me wrong, I'm interested in all PS dev stuff, old and new, but we have to stick to the forum rules).
It would be done through PM per ASSEMbler, that much is clear. This is just an update for a controller, nothing more. Just very difficult to track down in order to make use of prototype and PS3 Tool controllers.
